National Technology Day: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a commemorative postage stamp and coin on the occasion of National Technology Day. He said that India’s UPI has become the new normal today because of its simplicity.
PM Modi On National Technology Day:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated scientific projects in a program organized on the occasion of National Technology Day 2023 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The event will mark the beginning of the 25th year celebrations of National Technology Day, which will be held from May 11 to 14. During this, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of many scientific projects and also released a commemorative stamp and coin.
PM Modi said at the ceremony, I can never forget the day when Atal ji announced India’s successful nuclear test. With this, India not only proved its scientific capability but also gave height to India’s global stature. Since 2014, the way India has emphasized on science and technology, due to which it has become the cause of major changes.
Even rickshaw pullers are using digital ownership
At the ceremony, the Prime Minister said that there was a time when technology was beyond the reach of the common Indian, but India’s UPI has become the new normal today because of its simplicity. Today, from street vendors to rickshaw pullers, they are using digital ownership. Today India is the third largest startup ecosystem in the world and this growth comes at a time when the world is going through an economic transformation. It shows India’s potential, shows India’s talent. Today India is moving forward in every direction which is necessary for a tech leader country. In 2014, there were around 150 incubation centers in our country, today the number of incubation centers in India has crossed 650.
He further said, we have started the Startup India campaign, which started the Digital India campaign, which made the National Education Policy. He has also given a new height to India’s success in the technology sector. In the last 9 years, a strong foundation has been laid in the country to inspire the young minds of India towards innovation. Atal Tinkering Labs, started a few years back, is today becoming the innovation nursery of the country. There was a time when carrying debit and credit cards in pocket used to be a status symbol, but today the time has come when India’s UPI has become the new normal because of its simplicity.
