Civil service country building and service campaign
The Chief Minister said that I salute all the civil servants who have contributed in making the state stand in the line of developing states from sick states.Chouhan said that civil service is not just a career, it is important for nation building and people. There is a campaign of service. Public servants have the ability to change the country and state and to change the lives of the people.
Civil servants should strive for capacity building at all times and work with the spirit that there is always room for improvement. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan on the 17th Civil Services Day. C.P.V. Noronha was addressing the program at the Academy of Administration.
Guidance given to civil servants
Giving guidance to the civil servants, Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is necessary to keep striving to do better than what we are doing at present. It is necessary to upgrade ourselves and make ourselves efficient and suitable according to the changing technology and circumstances. For this, only by taking appropriate training and making efforts on a personal level, we can continuously improve our work efficiency.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also gave his own example in time management and setting priorities. Chauhan discussed about the characteristics of a virtuous worker, giving the example of a verse from the Gita. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is necessary to remain free from prejudice and zero ego, to maintain patience, to have an attitude full of enthusiasm while being positive, to maintain equal attitude in success-failure and to be full of faith.
Give time to family and yourself
Chief Minister Chouhan explained the need to give time to the family along with government work and take care of one’s own health. He said that meditation-yoga and pranayama are essential for physical health and mental peace.
Citing examples of Mr. Noronha and Mr. Buch, Chief Minister Chouhan said that on the strength of their works and services, public servants can be set as examples for generations to come. Public servants are capable of bringing changes in districts and states. His works and services should be such that people keep remembering him till the coming times.
Skilled team of officers in MP
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains said that it was on this day, April 21, 1947, that the then Home Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, addressed the officers of the first batch of the Indian Civil Service. Expressing the expectations of civil services from a nation standing on the verge of independence, this address is relevant even today. Every employee working under the executive is a part of the civil services.
From this point of view, the scope of Civil Services Day has been expanded this year. He said that an efficient team of officers is working in Madhya Pradesh. There has never been a gap between the common people and the administration in the state. There is an ideal situation here to take initiative for good works and to do the work creatively in one’s own way.
